Social Media: High school Debate
Monday May 11th , 2026 @ 6:45pm Join Wayfarer Theaters for an exciting High school debate : Social Media, does social media do more harm than good?
Social media and technology play a major role in how high school students communicate, learn, and spend their time. Debating whether social media does more harm than good allows students to explore both the positive and negative impacts, such as connection and self-expression versus cyberbullying and addiction. It is relevant, easy to understand, and encourages students to think critically, share opinions, and support their ideas with reasons, which are important skills in high school.
The event is free. reservations are encouraged. Program starts at 6:45pm and concludes 8pm
At Wayfarer we welcome dialogue and discourse with members of the community. We appreciate the opportunity to hear what local high school students have to say regarding the subject. We look forward to seeing you at the debate.PT1H15M2026-05-11Maggie Corbett
